Annemieke Wijers born in 1961, had her education at the Rotterdam Dance Academy , she graduated in 1983 as
a teacher in Modern dance, Jazz-dance, and Dance for Children. In 1988 she completed the Intensive
Training Course in Laban Movement Analysis.
Since 1983 she has been teaching at several dance-education centres: SKVR in Rotterdam and private ballet schools.

Since 1985 she has her own Ballet school in The Hague with mostly children's classes.
Since the same year she also teaches at the Havo for Music and Dance, and one year
later she started teaching at the Rotterdam Dance Academy in Laban based Modern
Dance and Bartenieff Fundamentals.
